Where are your treats made?

Kyon is a small Canadian company from Quebec.  All our treats are sourced and made right here at home.  They come from small local family farms that are federally inspected. They are hand pick by us, made in small batches by us and packaged by us.

What makes Kyon Chews different from other treats?

What makes us so different.  Simple.  We are there through the whole process. Farm to bowl, or floor, or couch, or wherever Fido likes to eat his/her treat. We first hand pick our farms. Insuring they follow humane animal welfare standards and are federally inspected to uphold Canadian food standards and sustainability. We also take it a step forward by making sure that there are no hormones or antibiotics in any of our products. Then our treats are hand made by us in our state-of-the-art facility where we dehydrate all our treats at low temperature in small batches to insure better quality control.  In addition, we do not use any chemicals or additives to alter the look or taste of our treats. To further our transparency, our staff and facility are MAPAQ certified and we are happily audited regularly to insure and secure high quality food standards. Finally, we test the quality of all our treats and hand pack them, making sure they are of the highest quality standards before leaving us. This process of carefully monitoring Kyon treats from beginning to end allows you in all confidence to track Fido's treat straight from the source.  Traceablility and transparency is what Kyon chews are all about.      

Are your bones safe for dogs to chew on?

We naturally dehydrate all our bones at low temperatures for long periods of time. Thus preventing splintering.  We also check every bone individually making sure they are of the highest quality. In addition, we do not use any any chemical wash or artificial additives to alter the colour, smell or look of our bones.  Like with anything that your pet puts in his or her mouth, we always recommend supervision. Any small pieces should be taken away.  As we have a wide range of bones, depending on the chew power of your pet we recommend picking the right one for them.

How do we pick the right chew for our pet?

We recommend to pick a treat that is bigger than what your pet can put whole in his or her mouth.  All our products are meant to be chewed and not swallowed whole and thus bigger chews will encourage endless hours or chewing fun for your pet. Anything small that they can put whole in their mouth should be taken away. Ask your representative from your favourite local pet store for more recommendation of which Kyon chew would best suit your pet; there is a favourite Kyon chew for every pet.
